SUSTAERO is pleased to announce the appointment of Seth Brouwers as Chief Innovation Officer (CINO), effective April 2, 2026. Brouwers joins the executive leadership team to spearhead the continued technical evolution of the company’s proprietary SOAR™ (Syngas Optimization for Aviation Renewables) process as SUSTAERO moves toward large-scale industrial deployment.

"Seth is a phenomenal addition to our leadership team at a time of rapid acceleration," says Keith Gillard, CEO of SUSTAERO. "His expertise in innovation strategy and process optimization is exactly what SUSTAERO requires as we transition the SOAR™ platform from final design to nation-leading infrastructure."

Brouwers brings two decades of multi-disciplinary experience in strategy, project management, and product development to SUSTAERO. Prior to joining SUSTAERO, Brouwers held senior leadership roles at Advanced Chemical Technologies Inc., where he led the development of a commercial-scale low-carbon methanol project utilizing industrial CO₂ and clean hydrogen, and at SAF+ International Group, where he supported the advancement of electro-SAF project development and strategic partnerships across North America. In these roles, he worked with government, industry partners, and capital providers to advance projects from concept through to commercialization.

"I am incredibly excited to join SUSTAERO at this pivotal moment in the aviation industry’s energy transition," says Brouwers. "The SOAR™ platform represents a fundamental shift in how we think about fuel security and carbon efficiency. I look forward to leading the innovations that will ensure our production network remains the most resilient and sustainable in North America."

The addition of Brouwers to the executive team reinforces SUSTAERO’s position as a technical leader in the SAF sector, ensuring the company’s intellectual property and innovation pipeline remain ahead of global market demands.
