VANCOUVER, B.C. – November 5, 2026 – SUSTAERO, a Canadian developer of utility-scale sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production facilities, has been named one of Canada’s Most Investible Cleantech Ventures as part of the 2026 Foresight 50. Announced at the annual awards gala on November 4, the recognition marks SUSTAERO’s second consecutive year receiving the national honour from Foresight Canada and Innovate BC.

The Foresight 50 celebrates Canada’s most promising climate technology companies, selected by an independent panel of domestic and international venture capital investors. Honourees are chosen based on commercial traction, environmental impact, technical rigor, and investment readiness.

Following a transformative year of engineering progress, technology licensor integration, and regulatory tailwinds, SUSTAERO’s selection underscores the growing institutional confidence in its bankable model to decarbonize aviation using Canadian wood waste and low-carbon hydroelectricity.

Vice President Michelle Hunt accepted the award on behalf of the SUSTAERO team in Vancouver, supported by Governance Advisory Board member James Chepyha during the associated investor pitch sessions.

"Earning a spot on the Foresight 50 for a second consecutive year validates the relentless execution of our entire team over the past twelve months," said Keith Gillard, CEO and Co-Founder of SUSTAERO. "Moving from initial recognition to sustained investment readiness reflects our commitment to a de-risked, repeatable commercial deployment strategy. By pairing clean forest residues with established TRL-9 licensor technology blocks, we are proving that Canadian cleantech can lead the global transition to high-yield, low-carbon aviation fuels."

The recognition comes during a period of strong momentum for SUSTAERO, following the completion of FEL-1 engineering for its initial production site, independent validation of its elite carbon intensity score of 8.8 g $\text{CO}_2\text{e/MJ}$, and recent proposed amendments to Canada's Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR) providing an 80 percent credit top-up for domestic SAF.

"We extend our sincere thanks to the teams at Foresight Canada, Innovate BC, the panel of investor judges, sponsors, and the broader Canadian cleantech ecosystem," added Michelle Hunt, Vice President of Administration. "This recognition provides a fantastic platform as we engage with institutional partners and off-takers during the pitch sessions to accelerate our deployment timeline."

The 2026 Foresight 50 cohort represents the leading edge of Canadian clean technology, selected from hundreds of applications across the country.
