SUSTAERO is proud to announce that CEO Keith Gillard was recognized for his transformative contributions to the Canadian cleantech ecosystem at the annual Canadian Cleantech Awards held yesterday in Vancouver.

The recognition follows Gillard’s recent transition from his role as Chair of the Board of Foresight Canada, which is the country’s largest cleantech accelerator. As the sole remaining co-founder still active within the organization, Gillard served as Foresight’s only Chair from its inception in 2013 until last month, overseeing its growth into a national powerhouse for sustainable innovation.

The acknowledgement was presented by Foresight CEO David Sanguinetti, marking a celebratory transition as Matt McCullough assumes the Chairmanship. During the ceremony, Gillard in turn presented a special acknowledgement to former Foresight CEO Jeanette Jackson, celebrating their decade-long partnership in building Canada’s green economy.

"Co-founding and then chairing Foresight for the past 13 years has been one of the great honours of my career," said Gillard. "While I remain committed to Foresight as a Director, passing the gavel to Matt allows me to focus my full attention on the critical work we are doing at SUSTAERO."

The event underscored the deep roots SUSTAERO has within the Canadian innovation landscape. Gillard’s legacy at Foresight provided the blueprint for the collaborative and high-impact approach SUSTAERO is now taking to deploy its proprietary SOAR™ process and develop North America’s most resilient Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production network.

"Our heartfelt thanks go out to founding Director Keith Gillard, who held the role of Board Chair for 13 years, leading Foresight through periods of rapid growth and strategic pivots," said David Sanguinetti, CEO of Foresight. "While we will miss his leadership as Chair, we are excited to see him apply that same visionary energy to scaling SUSTAERO into a global SAF leader."

With Gillard now focused on SUSTAERO’s flagship production facility and the company’s recent executive expansion, SUSTAERO is poised to move from domestic leader to global SAF powerhouse.
