SUSTAERO is proud to announce that Chief Executive Officer Keith Gillard delivered a milestone presentation at the IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE) and Industry Summit on May 29. The invitation to present at this prestigious forum marks the first public unveiling of SUSTAERO’s technical roadmap and proprietary woody biomass to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) platform.
The IEEE CCECE is the premier conference for researchers, professionals, and industry leaders in the electrical and computer engineering sectors. Gillard’s selection as a featured speaker highlights the critical role that electrical engineering and advanced process control play in the future of sustainable fuels, particularly regarding the integration of green hydrogen and grid-scale energy management.
"Being invited to present to the IEEE is an honour and a significant validation of our technical architecture," says Keith Gillard, CEO of SUSTAERO. "Our process is fundamentally an engineering solution to a logistical and environmental challenge. Presenting our platform to a room of the world’s leading engineers allowed us to demonstrate how we are bridging the gap between boreal biomass and high-precision electrical energy integration."
Gillard’s address focused on SUSTAERO’s "Power-and-Biomass-to-Liquid" (PBtL) architecture. This approach allows SUSTAERO to achieve an industry-leading Carbon Intensity (CI) score while maintaining a stable, border-free supply chain for North American aviation.
"The reception from the IEEE community was overwhelmingly positive," Gillard added. "There is a clear understanding that the transition to sustainable aviation requires more than just biological feedstocks; it requires the kind of stoichiometric precision and electrical infrastructure that SUSTAERO is bringing to the market."
